Our School Leaders

Mrs May Tang-Chim Lee Mai.jpg
Principal

I started out as a teacher at Zhangde Primary School before joining Woodgrove Primary School as Head of Department for Mathematics. I went on to serve as Vice-Principal in the same school and then as Vice-Principal of South View Primary School. I have been serving as Principal of Changkat Primary since 2010. On 26 April 2017, I was appointed Principal-Designate of Fern Green Primary School.

I believe that all students can learn and students learn best in a collaborative setting, when teaching and learning are pitched to their needs. To enable active and engaged learning, I believe in harnessing the affordances of technology and extending learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.

For our children to thrive in the 21st century and beyond, it is of paramount importance to anchor them on sound values. We would have achieved our goal if our children are able to lead purposeful lives, take care of themselves and their families, and contribute positively to the society.

Vice-Principal
(Academic)

I began my teaching career as an English Language, Mathematics and Social Studies teacher at Mayflower Primary School. After serving as Head of Department for Information and Communications Technology (ICT), I was appointed Vice-Principal in 2010 in the same school. I went on to serve as Vice-Principal of Princess Elizabeth Primary School in September 2013 and was appointed Vice-Principal Designate of Fern Green Primary School on 20 March 2017.

Having learnt with the children and worked alongside parents for some time, I believe that having a positive outlook, a zest for life and quality relationships with others are critical in shaping one’s confidence and empowering one to dream and aspire. I also believe in building a strong tripartite relationship between the child, home and school in laying the necessary foundation for resilience building to meet the challenges of the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) environment.

Vice-Principal
(Administration)
I started my career with the Ministry of Education in MOEHQ before joining Guangyang Primary School as Administration Manager. I was appointed Vice-Principal (Administration) in the same school in 2013 before moving on to serve as Vice-Principal (Administration) in Fern Green Primary School in Dec 2018.

I believe that each child is unique and each come with their own innate abilities. We need to leverage on their strengths to help them achieve his or her own personal best. By providing our pupils with a supportive and caring learning environment both in school and at home, it will help to create engaging and fulfilling experiences for them that will ignite their interest and motivation in learning and cultivate good values which they will uphold in their lives ahead.
