Cultural Exposure Programme Scheme
Watching MTL drama in a theatre provides students with a unique and immersive educational experience that enhances their understanding of literature, performance arts, and human emotions. The live setting allows them to observe the nuances of acting, staging, and production design in real-time, fostering a deeper appreciation for the creative process and the collaborative effort involved in bringing a story to life. Our school has learning journeys to a theatre that exposes students to diverse cultural perspectives and historical contexts, enriching their social and cultural awareness.

Reading Programme
The department is committed to develop reading habit among our students. The Reading Programme commences in Term 2, where pupils engage themselves in critical thinking and get fascinated by the wonders in the fictional and non-fictional world. Silent reading takes place on Thursday and Friday before flag raising.

MTL Fortnight 
Appreciation of culture is part of the language acquisition. Students will experience the hands-on cultural activities carefully planned by the department such that the appreciate the unique culture of the language.

Festive Celebrations
Festive celebrations are ways that students can gain better understanding of the diversity in our nation. Through participation in the various festival celebrations, students will be able to interact with one another in different festival settings and appreciate the diversity in the school context.

Speech and Drama 

The speech and drama classes are designed to give children the opportunity to explore various genres of Mother Tongue Language literature and develop an appreciation for the essence of these languages. The enrichment programme culminates in a talent showcase called “Little Stars of Broadway”.

Partnering Parents in Education 
Parents are the first teachers of children. By sharing knowledge and tips on supervision of learning, parents are better equipped to support their children in learning, henceforth, enjoy success.
